"Hello! I'm Ashley Woodward, and I am the founder of ANW In-Home Care LLC. My journey into the world of home care is rooted in my experiences as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and driven by a profound commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.  I started my career in the healthcare field at 19 years old. I worked as a CNA for 10 years providing care in all sectors including mental health, rehabilitation, home care, and many more. I obtained my LPN in 2015. Over the years, I had the privilege of working in various health care settings- from rehab facilities, Director of Nursing, and local travel nursing in Virginia. I met my husband Thomas Wood (TJ), and we have been settled in Louisa County together for 10 years. Thomas works as a boat mechanic here in Mineral, Virginia. We both strive to help people and be the expert in our work. "

"My journey into the world of home care is a unique blend of my passion for nursing, my interest in finance, and my desire to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others. I took it upon myself to educate and immerse myself in the world of finance, exploring how effective financial management can create sustainable healthcare services that truly meets the needs of patients. I enrolled in courses, networked with healthcare entrepreneurs, and dove into financial models that can contribute to better patient care without sacrificing quality or compassion. Nursing has always been a big part of my life. However, it was during my time working with elderly patients in long-term care that I truly understood the unique challenges they face. I saw how often their needs extended far beyond medical care; they craved companionship, familiarity, and the ability to remain in their homes, where they felt safe and comfortable. My encounters with residents and their families often revealed their struggles to find quality care tailored to their individual desires and needs. Inspired by these experiences, I envisioned a home care business that would bridge that gap-providing more than personal care but emotional support and companionship. My husband and I wanted to create a service that prioritizes building relationships, recognizing that genuine connections are integral to enhancing overall wellness."

After witnessing my mother care for my dad, I felt an overwhelming sense of responsibility and compassion. My parents were both disabled and my mother provided care for my dad throughout their marriage of 40 years."

"Through my experience as a nurse, I recognized the care residents were receiving in facilities and also the treatment of employees. We noticed a significant gap in quality of care and the value of caregivers. Our company wants to fill that gap with a home care business that would redefine the standard of care in our community. Employees in most facilities are overworked, low paid, and not valued. We want to value all our caregivers and work together as a team for every client. We know all our clients, family members, and caregivers are brave. We shall embrace all challenges together, and with resilience."

 

​​We are a family-owned and operated home care business. Our team consist of Care Coordinators, CNA's, PCA's and LPN's. We contract Registered Nurses for visits to your home to complete comprehensive assessments and supervisory visits. The RN will then develop a care plan unique to your specific needs.​​​​​​
